IMA Financial Group is Hiring a Program Analyst Near Kansas, KS

IMA's CORnerstone team is seeking a Program Analyst to join our group in either Wichita, KS, Denver, CO, or Kansas City, KS! This is a great opportunity to for anyone looking to begin their insurance career within specialty programs and captives by conducting financial tracking, reporting, underwriting, and rating.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain renewal pro-forma and regular performance reporting, identify and reconcile accounting differences, and prepare premium, exposure, and loss exhibits
  • Develop processes to track and monitor premiums, taxes, expenses, exposures and claims
  • Verify and validate data to assure accuracy of reports produced
  • State Self-Insurance Pools: Perform inhouse accounting functions, including bank and investment accounts, preparation of checks, financial reports and reconciliation; preparation of monthly financial reports for clients and board members. Prepare quarterly and financial reports for regulators; and liaison with financial institutions
  • Work within established underwriting processes from Compliance and Underwriting Manager,determine theeligibility of risk,apply rating and pricing methodologies,and determinecoverage terms
  • Work at direction of Compliance and Underwriting Manager to be responsible for account servicing needs during the policy year including rating, quoting, binding, and issuing policies and endorsements.
  • Accountable for maintaining account files including rating systems, core files and transactional files
  • Maintain program underwriting logs and production statistics as needed
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values
  • Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion

Required skills and experiences:

  • 2 years professional work experience preferred
  • Experience with MS Office products required (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Required to obtain property and casualty license within 3-6 months of hire, unless already licensed
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimal travel required (less than 5%)
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong attention to detail
